Seating Component Manufacturing has been a family owned business for over 70 years under several company names and divisions.
We began operations in 1945 as Decar Plastics Company. By 1963 we had expanded operations to Southern California under the name of Dentin Manufacturing which later became Seating Component Manufacturing in 1991.
In the 1940’s and 50’s we manufactured plastic laminated furniture (one of the first companies to do so.) By the 1960’s we started manufacturing fiberglass furniture (a completely new industry) and by the 1980’s, we not only manufactured fiberglass furniture but had expanded our line to include products fabricated in steel, aluminum, recycled plastic, concrete and wood.
Our current lines include both standard and custom made seating products for restaurants, stadiums, theme parks, hotels, malls, golf and tennis clubs, government installations and private industry. Our main emphasis, however, still remains in the layout and development of park and school lunch sites.
Located in Anaheim, California, our sales and shipping facility serves a worldwide customer network comprised of buyers who want furniture that meets their needs for durability and a unique look that fits their budget. It has always been our goal to fill that need by designing and manufacturing both contemporary and retro style furnishings we can be proud of.
